Introduction

Hi, I'm Gaby! I shoot family and individual portraits in Newburyport. Printing is available through my easy-to-share gallery as an add-on. Digital files included. When I am not growing my photo business I am walking my rescue pup Hans, enjoying nature hikes, and babysitting my adorable niece.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing includes travel, which covers all of the software that I use. There won’t be additional fees over the price that I quote. All photos are delivered as digital files, which I guide you on downloading and backing up. There is a self-serve print store attached to every client gallery. Let me know if you want friends and family invited to the gallery+store also and I can give them access.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
If this is your first time working with a professional photographer, just know that it’s really easy and painless. We have plenty of ideas, so just come to us and tell us how you hope to use the photo and we can collaborate (I use Pinterest all the time).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a bachelors from Goucher College and a masters from American University, School of International Service. I think these experiences help me with the business and customer service.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My father is a photographer and I grew up taking weekend trips around New England and taking nature and people’s photos on a nikon F3, a film camera. I also assist a headshots business on location and editing.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I usually have a phone call with the client to go over the details and decide the best set up, in terms of equipment. This is also a great time to ask me your questions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I took photos of a proposal on the beach at sunset. I really enjoyed meeting the wonderful couple and I got great shots of them using continuous shooting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It’s always great to share your vision/vibe and describe how you will be using the photos/who will be looking at the photos so it can be a collaborative process.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I don’t think customers should overthink the creative side of things just reach out to the photographer and collaborate because we have lots of ideas!
