Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

When it comes to wedding photography, it's important to find a package that suits your unique needs and preferences. After all, no two weddings are exactly alike, and every couple has their own vision for how they want their special day to be captured. That's why I work hard to understand your needs and wants and tailor packages to fit your specific needs and budget. Whether you want full-day coverage or just a few hours of photography, you can ensure that your wedding day is captured in a way that is truly special and meaningful to you.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I really like to get to know my clients vision for a wedding or photo shoot. I also try to understand their aesthetic and the type of photography they like. Building a relationship from the early stages of the planning process helps me capture their vision but also allows us to have a more enjoyable experience throughout. Communicating your needs and managing each others expectations is vital.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a Bachelors Degree in Communications and Studied Photography with a mentor at Orama Photography Program in Athens Greece and studied at the New York Photography School. After my education I was fortunate enough to photograph alongside leading photographers throughout the US and abroad. Learning from a mentor was an invaluable experience for any aspiring photographer, especially when it takes place at an art school. At an art school, the photographer is also exposed to a community of artists, all with their unique perspectives and styles. Ultimately, my photography education was a transformative experience. I not only gained technical skills but also a deeper understanding of the art form and my place within it. I felt prepared to create meaningful work for my clients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

My love for being part of happy celebrations and my natural talent to engaging with people!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I really enjoy photographing elopements in New York City. I have had clients come from all over the world to get married in NY. And I have photographed weddings at some of the city's most iconic locations. Photographing so many elopements allows me to meet and work with many different personalities, styles, visions and so many diverse people! Regardless of the person or personality, I pride myself on being able to connect with them to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that will result in drawing out their authentic selves and creating images that reflect that.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

My feelings are cheesier than a massive charcuterie board! I really enjoy working with all the couples that book their wedding with me. I really, really do! Each experience is memorable for me because I invest my time and attention to getting to know the couple and understanding the details of their day.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Hiring a photographer for your big day is an important decision, as your wedding photos will be cherished memories for years to come. Here are some tips to help you find the perfect photographer in NYC: -Research your options: Start by looking at online portfolios of photographers in the NYC area. Look for a style and perspective that matches your vision for your wedding photos. -Check reviews: Once you've narrowed down your list of potential photographers, check their reviews on websites like Google and Yelp to see what other clients have said about their experience. -Chat or Zoom: Schedule a meeting by phone or by video call with your top choices to get to know them and ensure that you are a right fit for one another. This will also give you a chance to see if your personalities click, as you'll be spending a lot of time together on your wedding day. -Discuss your vision: Make sure to communicate your vision for your wedding photos with your photographer, including any specific shots or poses you want. This will help ensure that you're both on the same page and that you get the photos you want. -Get it in writing: Once you've chosen your photographer, make sure to get a contract that outlines all the details, including the date of your wedding, the number of hours the photographer will be present, and the cost. This will help avoid any misunderstandings down the line.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Here are a few important questions to ask a wedding photographer before booking their services: -What is your photography style? It's essential to understand your photographer's style and ensure it aligns with your vision for your wedding day. Some photographers specialize in traditional, posed portraits, while others prefer a more candid, documentary approach. -How flexible are you with the timeline of the wedding day? Weddings can be unpredictable, and things may not always go according to plan. A flexible photographer can adapt to changes quickly, whether it's due to weather, schedule changes, or unexpected events. They can also work around any last-minute requests from the couple or the wedding party with ease. -Do you have backup equipment and insurance? Accidents can happen, so it's important to ensure that your photographer has backup equipment in case of any malfunctions. Additionally, they should carry liability insurance to protect themselves and you in case of any accidents or damages. -What is your timeline for delivering our photos? Knowing when you can expect to receive your wedding photos is important. Many photographers take several weeks or even months to edit and deliver the final product, so it's important to have a clear understanding of their timeline. These are just a few important questions to ask a wedding photographer before booking their services.
