Introduction

I love getting to be a part of special moments in people’s lives. Photography allows me to freeze my client’s happiness and give it back to them as a memory that lasts forever. I have been photographing portraits and events for 15 years. While I do offer package options, I always encourage people to create their own package and stay within their desired budget. For portraits, I am able to photograph in studio or on location. For events, I will accept local work or travel across the country! I love a good adventure! I take great pride in being able to customize any package and photo experience for any client. I do not want a client to feel discouraged by pricing as I can typically discuss their budget and offer an alternative option, special for a client's specific needs. I enjoy being part of such happy occasions and being able to capture moments that last a life time!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have packages but encourage people to tailor a session based on their needs. I try and customize my ability to work with clients with in their budget but I also like to offer a little something extra special for thumbtack clients whether it is a little bit of a discount or few prints as a thank you. I am always honored to be chosen to capture someone's special event or portraits.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I treat every customer separately. I try to accommodate everyone's needs and keep them in a budget that they are comfortable with. I typically like to have a phone conversation or possible an in person consultation for events- to go over expectations.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a degree from Penn State in Photo Journalism + 10 years experience in the photography business. I have photographed over 500 events and photo sessions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was lucky enough to travel all over the world with my family through out my child hood. I first picked up a camera when I was about 10 years old and haven't put it down since. I was always capturing the beautiful places I visited and the fun times we had. When I was in college, I was first going for education but as much as I loved teaching, I knew it wasn't enough for me. I needed to follow my passion- so in my Junior year I switch from a History Education major to a Photo Journalism major. My senior year I applied to a small wedding on Craig's List (when that was still a thing) and the rest is history!

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with people of all backgrounds and needs. I do not discriminate based on someone's personal beliefs. I love working with people of all diversity. I accept love in all forms.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I know that this sounds like cop out, but I have a special place in my heart for every single project that I work on. It is was drives me. To meet new people, share in their life experiences- it is truly an amazing experience and something that I truly truly love. I still can't believe that after 10 plus years, I still get to go to parties and do portrait sessions and deliver memories to clients that will last a life time!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Please understand that prices shouldn't be the sole drive of your choice. Quality of work is important as well as making sure your personalities are compatible with your photographer. This is especially important for weddings, as I will pretty much be the shadow of the couple most of the day.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
You will get what you pay for when booking most professionals. I am willing to work with people with in a reasonable budget for their needs, but please understand I am far past the point of a student that needs things for their portfolio. I am a fun and flexible person who truly wants to make your event or portrait session something special for you. I will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with my services.
