Introduction

The biggest reason you take photos is to capture a moment in time. I find it a privilege as your photographer to be allowed into these moments, and will capture them with the upmost respect, giving you candid, natural images that you can treasure for life. For my first 5 thumbtack customers, I will be offering a discount!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My base rate for most photography will be $100 per hour, with a two hour minimum. Events and complicated photoshoots (such as cosplay photography) are $150 per hour, with a two hour minimum. One hour sessions have a 50% up charge.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to start with a short consultation, where we discuss their goals for the photoshoot and expected turnaround times.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I majored in photojournalism in college, but I’ve been learning about photography my entire life.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I got started in photography because of my grandfather; he always has a camera in his hands, taking photos at family events or when we would visit. As I got older I realized being a photographer was my ideal career, giving me the unique privilege of capturing life’s little moments.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Families, teams, and models.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Understand that cheaper does not equal better, and that editing is the longest part of any project.
