My husband, Tyler, is my primary assistant and at times second shooter. We love to meet new people and explore new places together, we make a great team! I consider myself a “Family Photographer” and to me that means capturing ALL of your important milestones in life. Hi, I’m Grant—the eye behind NarBear Studios (I named it NarBear because I love bears and narwhals, and tbh Grant’s photography doesn’t roll of the tounge). My wife and I had the worst experience from the photographers we hired for our engagement and wedding and don’t want any anyone to ever go through that. We can never get that day back and we have no decent pictures to show for it. The frustration and disappointment is real. That’s why I am now offering engagement and wedding day photo sessions. I have been a semi professional landscape and travel photographer for over 10 years and have won a number of contests so I know how to compose and curate photos. I use only top of the line equipment and will work closely with you too make sure you get exactly what you want. This is the most special day of your life and I will make sure you have images that make your heart happy every time you look at them. Let’s make something amazing—and maybe laugh a little while we’re at it. Full day of shooting plus one hour engagement shoot for only $500 for the next 3 people. I will do 12 hour days if that’s what we need to capture every special moment. I will edit 50-100 pictures and provide you with high resolution copies of all the images.

I was born on the beautiful northern coast of Brazil. A few years later, I moved to the United States with my parents and there began my love of adventure & meeting new people. I grew up and went to college in New Hampshire, where I received my degree in Environmental Studies and met my college sweetheart and now husband. He is a pilot in the Air Force and my favorite person in the world. We have lived in Oklahoma, Washington and Alabama. Military life is hard, but we have loved meeting so many treasured friends and being part of a supportive community along the way. Much of my inspiration comes from the beauty of our world and the people in it. I believe there's always something new to learn, discover and marvel at. I first picked up a camera in 2015 as a way to document the fleeting moments of our ever changing lives and my thirst for telling stories through photography grew from there. In Spokane, my love for photography grew exponentially when I decided to get an A.A. in photography. I learned to develop my own film and prints in the darkroom, honed my photoshop and editing skills, and developed my lighting techniques by learning off camera flash both in the studio and on location. Whether you are looking for a wedding photographer, a family, or portrait photographer, I have the technical/artistic ability and experience to capture your vision and communicate the deeper stories of your special relationships and milestone moments. I also really strive to build true connections with my clients and am there for you day and night throughout the planning process and on the day of your session. I will not only be your photographer, but your shoulder to lean on, your friend to call on if you need anything, and your forever hype woman.
