When pricing or quoting a job I get the material cost from the vendor. I take the cost and I times it by 1.5% by doing this this helps me with fuel cost, and other cost associated with picking up the equipment and getting the team out there to do the install or the repair I charge a flat rate labor cost for each individual type of installation.

I do this with all my customers not just the new customers, when I first show up, I listen to their needs and also there wants and come up with a game plan that best suits them. After we’ve come up with a game plan, I spend time going over where the equipment is going to be located, the efficiency of the equipment if there are any special needs when it comes to air quality due to allergies or any other needs, we even go over controls such as thermostats or zoning systems. But at the end of the day, I make sure that the customer understands what they’re getting. They’re happy with what they’re getting And they’re getting it at a fair price. I do not hard sell. I also offer all first responders, military and government employees a $500 discount.

I have C20 contractors license, I have also went to carrier school, I am certified in installation and start up on VRF systems, from Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, Fujitsu, carrier, York, and trane. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA confident person. I also have my electrical NFPA certificate. I am a certified rigger also certified on atmospheric and steam regeneration boilers Raypak, and Lochinvar boilers

I got started doing this type of work in high school working for my cousin who had a small residential business doing air conditioning and heating and water heaters. At first I carried his tools then after a few months, he let me tackle my first water heater then after that, I was doing water heaters, after school to make extra cash to help pay for gas and other extras. After I graduated high school I worked for him doing split systems and package units for a few years. Then I was lucky enough to get on with Pacific Rim mechanical one of the premier mechanical companies in the United States. They’re actually ranked number 16 and all of the US I’ve currently been with them for 20 years, I feel very lucky too,Have been able to work there for such a long time. I was able to learn a lot and I’m continuing to learn a lot but now I am trying to start a new chapter in my life by starting my own HVAC company and secure a brighter future for my family.

I recently did a LGVRF system for the city of Carlsbad, which is in their electrical rooms which control all of the water pumps for the city. That job took me seven days to finish.

I would urge the customer to get multiple quotes, and after receiving the quote to research the equipment that each contractor is offering
