Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My rate is per sitting which includes one 8x10 standard paper. However you may purchase additional prints and products at a nominal rate. which is determined by size and type of medium. Prints are done by a professional lab and usually have a 7-10 day turn around from the time they are ordered. Each print is professionally color corrected and printed on a professional grade paper or other media as you the client chooses. If I have to travel more than 100 miles I bill for my expenses.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
After the customer has decided they want to trust me with capturing their event, I like to sit down and discuss what they would like to achieve. I offer suggestions and work with them to ensure the event is captured the way they want it. Once the photos are done they get to choose the ones they want online in the convenience of their home or in person at the studio. I explain to the customers their options for purchasing high quality prints and merchandise. The prints are delivered in the minimal amount of time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I studied photography under Lynn Allen in the Hague Netherlands in 1979. After joining the Army, I went to college and studied more photography. Upon the completion of the photography schools, I worked part time as a second shooter at weddings. I then branched out on my own freelancing my skills and have been doing it every since. I have shot around the world; Asia, Central America, Europe, and of course the US. I have shot everything from Crime scenes to weddings and special events. However, I concentrate my efforts on corporate portraits/headshots and real estate. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America. I have taught classes to law enforcement on basic camera function and crime scene photography. I have created several advertisements for publishing in Canine Chronicle and Dog News for dog show clients.
