Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My quote for basic services includes digital transfer of images via on-line protected password. Transfer of unedited images is typically the day of or day after the shoot or event. I optimize all images from the shoot and give all images to the client. I generally don't offer discounts.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The specific process is completely dependent on the type of service requested. Generally, I'll be communicating via Thumbtack messenger, phone, e-mail, Skype, or Facebook Messenger, as appropriate.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I attended upper level classes using my GI bill and I have shot thousands and thousand of images in all sorts of lighting conditions, weather, and a vast array of localities.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have a passion for visual arts and I love meeting people and making beautiful images that interest and excite.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Corporate clients, real estate clients, and individuals needing lifestyle photos, portraits for families and seniors, social media head shots and portraits, or portfolio images for actors and models.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Every project I work on excites and interests me. At the time of this writing (October 27, 2020) my most recent projects in reverse order were a free photo day I do annually as an appreciation for my mom's health care providers, a set of head shots for an international corporation with an office in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a surprise proposal at Broken Bow, Oklahoma, an engagement shoot in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, a corporate head shot in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and a static executive aircraft at Fayetteville, Arkansas. I had fun with all these shoots.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look at the body of work. Ask question. Read reviews.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
The most important consideration is to establish expectations and ensure the photographer understands what is intended as far as time, materials, location, uses, results, and method of delivery.
