Introduction

I truly love what I do — and I think it shows. I’ve been helping people feel comfortable, capturing genuine smiles, and freezing meaningful moments for over a decade! Please only respond if you’re seriously interested, Thumbtack charges me up to $70 just to talk to you! So while I admire and appreciate questions, please read through my page before asking me about pricing and portfolio (I would really appreciate it) Also, it is rare I talk to clients less than 5 days before an event and more than 5 months out through Thumbtack. So if you’re looking for a price and it says unavailable, this is most likely the reason. Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon! 😊

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
The 15% booking deposit is non-negotiable. You must pay this for me to book you. I will not add you to my calendar without this.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When a new customer chooses my services, the first thing I do is ask customers to fill out a general in-take form. This is to get information and details about the photographic needs. Once this is complete I send an invoice for the services I plan on performing and a booking deposit. The booking deposit is usually around 15% and it is required to schedule an appointment with me. Once this payment is processed, no one can take your time slot and we wait for our photoshoot day to arrive. I will generally call 1-2 weeks before our session to confirm all details. After we meet up and photos have been taken, it’s time to edit photos. This can take up to 2 weeks to process. Once edited, I will email you an invoice to request the final payment. Once this is paid in full, I will give you the photographs through a USB and Google Drive Link.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My day job is engineering, so I’m a bit of a perfectionist. This helps me a lot when it comes to editing and especially when I am trying to get that perfect shot.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
A very popular request right now is elopement photos. This can take anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours. It all depends on the client and how comfortable they are in front of the camera. Keep this in mind when viewing pricing and booking!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Think about each photographer as an artist. Each has their own style and technique. Once you see it this way, you can try to look for someone who’s work you admire rather than someone who may fit your budget but you don’t like their photographs. In some cases, this can force a photographer to conform to what you want and take on a challenging style or technique they aren’t used to. It may lead to both parties feeling unsatisfied at the end result. You wouldn’t force Da’Vinci to paint like Picasso
