Introduction

Hi! My name is Eric. I’m a professional photographer in San Francisco. I created North Point Photography over 15 years ago to capture important moments in your life and give you stunning photos you can be proud of. I offer a far more personalized service than many big studios can and work to keep each client comfortable. I always aim to make sure you’re relaxed, confident, and ready to enjoy your big day. - 20 years full time experience in the field of photography - Customer service is my number one priority - $4,000,000 Liability Insurance I specialize in: - Weddings and engagements - Professional headshots - Events I have been passionate about photography since the first time my dad put a Kodak Instamatic camera in my hands. Looking through the viewfinder seemed almost magical to me. Over the years the enthusiasm has only grown. I am grateful and blessed to be able to make a living following my passion: photography.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
We are all about giving the customer the best possible value. We may not be the lowest absolute price, but we provide a level of service that the discount houses will not provide.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will personally meet with you to learn about your requirements, and you can become comfortable long before your actual event. You will be relaxed, and ready to enjoy your photo shoot.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My photography education started at a very young age, learning from a very demanding father. My formal education goes up through graduate school. My education is ongoing, never finished!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
High school sports was my first experience selling photographs. After college and graduate school, I ended up as a college professor. One of my students noticed my portfolio on my laptop computer and asked if I photographed weddings. I said no. Well, she talked me into photographing her wedding, which I thoroughly enjoyed. From that initial wedding, I received three referrals. Since then my work has organically grown via word of mouth. Eventually, to meet demand, I started North Point Photography. Today I have hundreds of happy clients.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Individuals - Portraits, Weddings Commercial clients - Real Estate, Retail

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
For several weeks I worked with Zephyr Real Estate on producing community profiles, or neighborhood exposes. I would spend a day or two in each town, photographing the places to get the look and feel of the area. It felt great making each town look its absolute best.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
"The bitterness of low quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten." - Ben Franklin

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I. Often venues require photographers to have liability insurance. I have a $2,000,000 liability insurance policy with State Farm. II. Think about how important your photo's are to you. Your event is once in a lifetime. There is no reshoot.
