Introduction

Hello, so excited you found me! My name is Tahli, capturing a feeling in time is my passion. We are often so distracted by the busy world that we sometimes forget to stop and appreciate the beauty of the present moment. I am so humbled that I get to capture raw emotions through the lens and that my clients put trust in me to document their special moments that will last a lifetime. I approach each event with full attention, honesty and love. I put my heart and soul into my work to make sure the beauty and the emotions are conveyed. I feel very privileged that I get to make connections with people while doing the thing that I love most! Please review my Thumbtack profile or visit my website to get more information about who I am and the services I offer. Feel free to send a message if you'd like to work with me :-) Tahli

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I try to be as flexible as I can while still maintaining a fair price. It's important to me that both my clients and I walk away feeling good about the experience :).

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
From my experience, starting with an initial consultation with my clients to go over the parameters for the project is key. I want to be keen on what sort of goals they have in mind so that we can all have a fun and productive shoot. This is typically the most challenging part, but once all parties are clear on what they want/need, it makes the actual shoot a breeze and really enables everyone to relax and have some fun which is the best part!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I was a Marketing Director and content creator for 10 years. It was during that time that I developed a passion for storytelling through visual images. I have pursued light sculpting training through various UCSD courses and online photography academies such as Karl Taylor education and Lindsey Adler.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I picked up an old film camera that my mom used when I was growing up and realized how good it felt in my hand. I then bought myself a pretty basic DSLR camera which helped me develop a creative eye for photography and after 1 year I decided I wanted to expand and go pro :-)

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with brands, parents/kids, fashion influencers, real estate, couples, pet owners etc... My primary goal is to ensure that whatever projects I pursue, I give it my best.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be transparent about your expectations and what you would like to achieve during the shoot. If you're having a hard time communicating that, then it's important to let the photographer know so that they can guide you with their expertise and work with you to better understand your vision. More than just snapping pictures, it's the photographer's job to help the client better understand how to convey their story through an image.
