Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
At the moment, I'm just gaining a base of clients in LA, so my cost is extremely low for my level of work. You can see this for yourself by looking at my work or ordering a photo shoot. - An hour shoot (event reportage, family or portrait photo shoot, etc.) costs $150; - A 30 minute shoot (event reportage, family or portrait photos, etc) costs $100. If you need a photo studio, you must pay for it separately.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
You can contact me in any way convenient for you, we will discuss the date, time and idea of the photo shoot, I will help you find the necessary location and help with the style of clothing. Don't hesitate to write or call, I will be happy to help you with advice!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have been in photography for over 14 years, have taken over 10 courses with top photographers in Russia and the U.S., and for the past 8 years I have been teaching myself.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I've always loved photography, I've been fond of it since I was a kid, when I found an old camera from the USSR in my grandfather's attic. I'm a happy man, because I never had to choose what to do with my life. I always knew that I would make a living from photography, and it happened that way :)

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
In 14 years of filming, I have worked with a huge number of big clients like Gazprom, MTS, Sberbank, Mercedes, Volvo, Shell, etc. I don't keep count of photoshoots, but as far as weddings are concerned, I have photographed over 400 weddings. So I know very well how to communicate with people and get a great result.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of the most recent photo shoots was of two sisters. They hadn't seen each other for many years (the younger sister lived in Russia, and the older one in Armenia), and they finally met here in Los Angeles. I think we had a very heartfelt, sensual shoot about the relationship within the family. The photo shoot took about 1.5 hours.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The most important thing is to choose the right images for yourself and your family, choose a location where there will not be many distractions and adhere to the rule of "golden hour", ie best to photograph at dawn or dusk, then be sure you get a great result!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Ask for examples of footage of what you would like to get. Be sure to study a full photo shoot, not 1-2 shots, to make sure you get exactly the style and level you came for. This is especially true for a 10-12 hour wedding shoot in various genres, such as reportage and staged photo shoots.
