Introduction

QUICK NOTE: I AM OFFERING MINI SESSIONS AUGUST 9TH & SEPTEMBER 6TH. 20 MINUTES | 10 IMAGES | $150 | CORONADO ISLAND | TO SAVE YOUR SPOT MESSAGE ME Hi there! I’m Diane, I’m a San Diego based photographer, wife, mom to a wonderfully wild tiny human, introvert that sometimes reads extrovert, history nerd, and a believer that the best days are the simple days, with little moments full of love. These are also the moments to capture and enjoy for years to come. I am never as happy as when I am pursuing creativity. Which is why I am here, dedicated to creatively capturing your moment in time, as we try to savor the beauty of it. Cheesy? Probably. Okay, definitely. But honestly, what’s more important? When we look back, it will be on the moments where we feel passionate and alive. I am here to provide you with beautiful images that capture YOUR passion. Whether it's your family, your love story, or what you do everyday that drives you. A special note to the moms and dads: I absolutely love working with kids. They bring a unique authenticity to every session because they simply haven't learned how to not be themselves. It's magic. So whether your little ones are wild and adventurous, or quiet and reserved, I would be honored to document this moment in time for your family. I am here to coordinate the chaos, play silly games, make them laugh, and have fun with all of you. So no need to tell them to say cheese, just show up and we will have fun.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I have planned mini session dates on my website for those looking for a great budget-friendly session

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Once a client has selected a date I will send a client questionnaire so we are clear about your goals, as well as anything specific you’d like me to know. I will also provide wardrobe guidance and location guidance. I am also happy to do a zoom consultation if you would like. My top priority is to make sure you are comfortable and feel prepared for your session.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I took classes in both high school and college (fine arts and photography) and have been involved in both the art world (through my several years as a museum director and board member) as well as my own artistic endeavors throughout my career. I have continued my photography education online in recent years to expand and focus more specifically on portrait photography.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Families, couples, professional headshots

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Consider your purpose for the images as well as how the photographer’s images make you feel. Art should illicit an emotional response (hopefully) and you should feel excited to see yourself through that artist’s perspective based on their work.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
I started doing photography over a decade ago, and portraits have always been my primary interest. Everyone has something beautiful about them, and I love the unique way photography can capture that beauty.
