What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I love Thumbtacks system because each quote is priced with your needs in mind! It lets us understand your details for the project so we can quote accordingly. The base price that's sent to you had NO hidden fees, and no add-ons. (Unless you need prints after the shoot has wrapped) Unlike most photographers that may charge by photo count, I send you ALL the photos as well as 15 edits which are always included in every package!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Getting to know you is most important! I'll ask questions about what locations fit your traveling radius because I always offer to scope out places for you. We decide on the style that you envision for the shoot and try to match it and make it a reality!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I took an apprenticeship for teaching photoshop back in the days of Adobe Photoshop I obtain many certifications in my field and constantly study the techniques for the Photo and Media industry to keep sharp and current with my skills.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I was 14 I was told to take on the test of shooting 60 different internship students for a charter school. I had to quickly learn video editing software as well as photoshop within a week to get everything shot and edited in time. Upon completion, the businesses owners that were in charge of the students saw my work that I did of their companies and loved everything! They asked me if I would do further work for them in the future, photographing menu photos for their restaurants, pet adoption ads, headshots for their corporations, and each business owner was very appreciative and excited to work with me again! I was so happily surprised because I fell in love with the job as soon as I picked up the camera and seeing everyone's smiling face, gave me the motivation to start my own photography company.

What types of customers have you worked with?

On a typical day, I am either editing for my clients or driving to a photoshoot! We work countless hours to ensure you have the best experience! Even once we wrap our photoshoot, we stay with that project until it is completed. We have a quick 4-day turnaround for most projects, but as a valued client you will be forever in our hearts.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Although, I have been working for 14 years growing BlushPix as a photography company. I decided to go back to take on a client that needed her Photographs taken and edited on the same day! It was very lovely to meet the Mother and Daughter from Temecula. The sweet 16-year-old girl happens to be competing in a pageant the next day. We went to a large duck pond and shot her headshots for the Photogenic portion of the pageant. Afterward, I returned back with them edited and printed for them to use. I was informed the next day that she WON the Photogenic Portion of the Pageant because of my picture! I was incredibly proud and she looked beautiful in the portrait that I took and edited. It was a joy to work with her and a great accomplishment!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Know your budget. Have an idea about the location. Be honest and realistic. As long as you have a basic understanding of your requirements we can work out the rest together.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is tedious and takes many hours to complete, I am a perfectionist when it comes to a task. I will work around the clock and charge one all-inclusive price, because of the fact that I will keep working until it's finished and all parties are satisfied.
