Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Custom sessions have a session fee which includes the time for the session and viewing appointment. Then digital photo packages start at $150 for minis or $250 for full session with enhancements. Contact me for the full pricing guide.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Just finding out the best option for their needs (custom sessions, mini sessions, themed, etc) and then discussing the options, the setups, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have an AS degree in photography, and I'm always continuing my education through workshops, classes, and photo conventions.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Have a degree in photography. In fact I still have my old black and white darkroom at home.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I specialize in babies and children, but photograph any type of portrait including families, maternity, headshots, couples, pets, and high school seniors.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I love my themed mini sessions I offer throughout the year. :)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Be careful not to hire just "someone with a camera" that "decided" that they are a photographer. Choose a photographer that has some training & skill, along with a level of creativity, too. Also someone who is willing to spend that extra time with you to get it right. I will give you special attention and time, that you won't get at a chain business. And I guarantee I have the biggest variety of props and backdrops of anyone around!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Budget, and also what do they want for the final product? (Digital files, prints, wall art, albums, etc.) Also remember the saying you get what you pay for. I actually offer both custom fine art and the quick mini sessions so we can discuss the different options.
