Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I provide a clear set of creative fees when discussing a project. Discounts on rates are available for variables such as large groups of corporate headshots.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I find it best to have a quick consultation on the phone to go over details and answer any questions. Sometimes I will request a client to provide some image references that give a look and feel of their desired results.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
My college education was at Southeast Center of Photographic Studies in Daytona Beach. Experience includes working in NYC for 11 years: - first assistant to a prominent celebrity photographer - a digital photo technician for Industrial Color - on-set photographer for many major television productions - photo editor for the NBA

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My high school photo teacher was influential in my development. I was always the one with a camera while skateboarding with friends in the film days. Since then I've worked hard to develop my skills and build my client base.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
- Fortune 500 companies - All the major television networks, and many cable as well - Wall Street Firms - Magazines - national and regional - Start up technology companies - Non-profit / charities - Modeling Agencies

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I was honored to complete a project for the non-profit Selfless Love Foundation who helps place foster children in homes. The portraits were a full shoot day with wardrobe hair/ makeup and a wonderful group of kids. The images were featured in a TV news story about the technology used to find matches between families and adoptive parents.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Don't be afraid to ask questions. As rapport improves so do the images. This is especially true for my specialty of portraits.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
- What their vision of the final product is - Wardrobe and setting (studio, outdoor) - Finding multiple available times for their project
