Introduction

Hi, my name is Tina and I'm the owner of Mystic Memory Photography. I love capturing authentic, honest moments that you want to remember forever. Photographs that make you feel something. I prefer to photograph you as you truly are and feel posing you too much creates this facade of someone you are not. I want to create images that your future generations can look back on and maybe understand a little more about who you were, and not just what you looked like. My favorite photos of my family are the candid, authentic moments, where I can easily transport myself into.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
After their first photo session they recommend a new client to me they will get 20% off their next photo session with me. I also bring my husband (who's very laid back and friendly) to most of my photoshoots becuase he's a great assistant!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I will have them fill out a questionnaire to get to know them a little bit better and when I show up for the photoshoot I usually like to chat for a bit and get everyone more relaxed and comfortable before I bring the camera out.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I took some photography classes in high school and in college (at the Kansas City Art Institute) and majored in design and illustration which taught me a lot about composition and being authentic to my work. I also worked for Bella Baby Photography from 2013 - 2020 photographing newborns in the hospital.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Growing up, my dad was a photographer and always had a camera in his hand, photographing me and my little sister. He inspired me and taught me how to use a camera. My mom had a daycare in our home which made for the perfect subjects for me to capture being their authentic selves. The parents loved my photos so much they started asking me for family photoshoots.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Families of all kind, couples, musicians, professionals who want head shots, small business owners who wanted product photos, models, and lots of newborns (I used to work for Bella Baby Photography)

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you choose the right photographer for YOU, that's the most important thing. If you prefer more posed or studio photos, i'm not the photographer for you and that's totally ok! BUT if you want photos that are more raw and authentic to who you and your family are and want real and candid moments captured, i'm here for that!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Portraits - Location for photoshoot? - Indoor or outdoor shoot? - What is your budget? - What is most important to them that I capture? Product Photos - How many products? - How many shots of each product? - What aesthetic do you want? - What's the budget?
