I strive to be affordable and I never want your budget to be the reason we don't work together. If you like my work, reach out and let's talk.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I always want to have phone calls or meetings with new customers ahead of our session. This allows us to get on the same page with expectations for style, deliverables, and how the shoot will work.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from Ball State University with degrees in Theatre Directing and Video Production. This experience as a film and theatre director makes me uniquely suited for posing clients and creating comfortable, fun photo shoots. I also have more than 4 years experience as a video journalist. What this gives me is a keen eye. I see photo opportunities and stories that other photographers just wouldn't think of.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I picked up my dad's camera at my siblings' sporting events when I was a kid and got hooked.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with engaged couples, wedding parties, actors, business professionals, and families. I also have experience photographing corporate events, like conferences and festivals.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A family and maternity session I did in the fall was one of my favorites. I got amazing photos and the family's 3-year-old was an absolute ham and so fun to photograph!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always have a conversation with them! Anyone worth hiring would love to talk to you in detail before you commit to buy their services. In the case of photography, talk about what you want. Send them photo ideas you love, and see if their style matches your vision. For what it's worth, I'm just that kind of photographer!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Have an idea of what you're looking for, but be open to expert input. Ask yourself: What do I want to see framed on my wall? What am I willing to pay for priceless memories and family keepsakes? What kind of photos will best capture who I am and how I want to be remembered? Remember, if done right, the photographs I take for you will outlast all of us!
