What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our rates typically start at $350 for the first hour and $300 for each additional hour. Weddings require a two hour minimum.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Connect. Create. Coordinate or Capture. Commemorate & Celebrate Connect = A phone chat or meet for coffee Contract = If we are a fit, I receive a 50% retainer and we start creating Create = we put together your timeline/photo list and/or design your day Capture = the day of your event, we are there to capture every moment Celebrate = We celebrate with a custom online gallery with all of your images

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

We've been creating and capturing special events since the mid-1990s. (Joani has also programmed and officiated wedding ceremonies for the same amount of time!)

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Mark started photographing wedding in LA before jumping into the fashion/commercial arena. Mark also had a degree in music from Biola! Joani has loved performing and visual arts since a child! Studied Dance and Theatre Education at Stephen F Austin University. Founded and ran a Performing and Visual Arts School for 25+ years. Also, was in ministry for over 25+ years, which is when I started programming and officiating wedding ceremonies. My husband is the one who actually started me shooting! Love him for that...and for many other reasons too! (wink)

What types of customers have you worked with?

We've worked with pretty much everyone. Young to old, armatures to professionals, ordinary to famous. We love all people!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure they CARE about you AND your event; are knowledgeable in their field; and are resourced to bring your vision to fruition.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Having a general idea of what your are hoping for...and knowing your budget are the best place to start. These two things will help give a framework for us to create and plan within.
