Introduction

IMPORTANT INFO BEFORE INQUIRING: Jasmine Nelson . photography I only DO: portraits (headshots/personal/ glamour, family, maternity, newborn, senior or graduation). If this is what you’re looking for, I’d be happy to help. I DO NOT do: weddings, engagements, parties or “themes”. Thumbtack has a lot of amazing photographers who do, so it would be best to reach out to them if that is what you are looking for :). ABOUT: When it comes to your photoshoot, I come to you—because I believe the best photos happen in places where you feel most at ease. Whether it’s your home, a favorite park, or any space that feels like you, comfort and familiarity make all the difference. I genuinely love working with people and making photo sessions feel fun and relaxed. Photography doesn’t have to be stressful or awkward. I’ll chat, laugh, and connect with you throughout the shoot—so it feels more like hanging out than posing. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is even there, allowing your real personality to shine through every shot.

I like phone calls. So getting to know each person and hearing their voice - is really important to me. In this call, I get to know you, what you're looking for, any expectations, or concerns and I also explain the process of what we will be doing, what to expect, the different packages, how the gallery works. This way way you will be as comfortable as possible and have no surprises.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Diploma in photography

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My husband who has a love and passion for photography, shared his passion with me and really got me into photography. I also spoke with fellow photographers, taking classes and experiencing what it's like being the one to take the photographs and seeing what can be achieved when you learn more about your camera, subject & yourself.

Research. You want to get someone who understands exactly what you're looking for and it's helpful to know what you're looking for as well. Knowing what you want will help you and your photographer.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
