Introduction

***COVID-19 UPDATE: I am open for business and continue to be extremely respectful of photographing clients by sticking to 'social distancing' practises and photographing with face masks. During these crazy COVID-19 times, Im offering a 15% discount on any Graduation/Outdoor Portrait sessions (offer valid until 30 June 2020) YOU should hire me if: 1. Authenticity is important to you- 'Authenticity' has been on my mind a lot lately. In this age of mobile phones and social media, there is so much pretending that it can feel like nothing is real anymore. I've been sitting with this feeling for some time and spent most of my efforts in 2019 trying to capture those authentic, highly spontaneous and genuine moments that focus on faithfully documenting your wedding day. YOU should hire me if: 2. Wedding Packages won't break the bank: Im proud to offer award-winning services that won't break the bank, with packages that strive to capture couples in an unobtrusive and contemporary fashion. Couples can 'Design their own packages' with services that include engagement, trash the dress and wedding portrait shoots. YOU should hire me if: 3. Experience /variety are important to you - I have experience photographing a variety of religions and non-traditional weddings including Hindu, Indian, Greek, Zulu, Xhosa, Jewish, same-sex couples and have shot destination weddings around the globe including England, France, USA, Germany, South Africa, and Ireland. YOU should hire me if: 4. High-octane energy is important to you - Thanks to my high octane energy levels and my ability to put you at ease, my greatest asset, and most consistent feedback in wedding reviews are my energy levels and how they helped couples to enjoy and love the process of being photographed on wedding day. YOU should hire me if: 5. Speed and timing is important to you - one area where I continue to impressive clients is with my rapid 'response time' with emails as well delivery time of your wedding day digital files (between 1-2 weeks) on average. YOU should hire me if: 6. You are lookin for a solo photographer - I'm a specialist photographer, working alone (no second shooters, no videography services offered) in a highly mobile and agile manner, which minimizes the physical impact of me on your wedding day

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Besides 3 general wedding packages, Im excited to announce the launch of my brand new DESIGN YOUR OWN wedding packages. This new pricing structure gives you more control, whilst offering greater flexibility and ultimately a more affordable bottom line. HOW TO DESIGN YOUR OWN WEDDING PACKAGE Step 1: Choose your Photography Hours Step 2: Choose your Line products Adding step 1+2 together will give you your final price.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Establish contact either telephonically or via email. Then set up a meeting with my clients as finding the right photographer is as much about personalities 'connecting' as it is about impressing clients with your final photographic work product.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Self-taught by my father who was a photographer and I continue to expand my creative talents by continued education and online course, via Creative Live and Udemy.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My father was a photographer, so I grew up with my dad's dark room as my greatest mystery and teacher in life.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I am an International photographer who has shot weddings in England, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, USA, South Africa and France. I have also done corporate work in Tanzania for the famous African House Hotel on the Island in Zanzibar as well as corporate gigs across Cape Town including celebrities like marketing guru Marcello Serpa from Brasil (Havanans flip flop shoes)

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Im currently loving the reduced hour Covid-19 wedding shoots which range from 1 to 3 hours, and include far less people in the wedding party for obvious reasons. These shoots are filled with such energy, excitement and just appreciation for being able to get married, despite all the obstacles that have had to be overcome, thanks to Covid-19.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure you find the time to organize a 'meet and greet' session with your proposed photographer. Establishing a 'connection' with your chosen photographer should be of prime importance as one has to 'feel good' whilst one is being photographed to 'look good' at the end of the day.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How important is the personality of your photographer? Are you more interested in the technical genius behind the camera or is 'being part if the wedding vibe' also important to you? Also be sure to ask what novel suggestions your photographer brings to the table on wedding day.
