You want the best photos and video experience we are the group that can deliver. I have been a professional photographer for over 30 years and photograph and video everything from weddings to corporate events. I studied photography at Hawkeye Tech in Iowa and know everything there is about lighting, composition and technology. I have grown my company to over 4 photographers and we are a great team. I am extremely customer-oriented and detail oriented. My main goal is to make you happy by giving you the best photos/video possible and best experience ever. When the photographer and client work well together it makes for a overall great experience and that is what we do at Dear Hart.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I work around everyones budget and am very competitive with my pricing!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Making customer feel comfortable around the camera.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo Iowa in 92 with a photography degree. Same year started Dear Hart Photography. I worked at SIUE for a year until the grant expired. Went to work for Venture stores as their photographer for 5 years taking photos of everything they sold for Sunday paper. I then moved to True Manufacturing for 20years as their photographer until I decided I can do much better on my own and run Dear Hart Photography full time and I was right.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Took photos in High School and really enjoyed it so wanted to make it a career.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I do everything from weddings, engagements, family & senior photos to fashion photography shoots, corporate photos, head-shots, web-site (e-commerce) photos, table top merchandise photos, real estate photos, food/drink photos, event photos and agriculture photos. You name it, I've shot it!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I like all my projects and everyone I work with. Created a lot of friends while taking photos and that is what I enjoy the most.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask a lot of questions and check out website and reviews. Experience is a big deal along with good people skills.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Depends on what job the customer is wanting done, portraits, weddings, corporate, etc. For weddings the biggest questions is how many hours will the photographer be there and how many finished photos will you have when done with editing.
