Introduction

I am a Marine Veteran, and a father of two daughters. After serving in the Corps. I started working in the cable industry, attending school at night earning my degree. I would say as with any parent to their chagrin, I snapped a few thousand pictures of my daughter’s sporting events and dance recitals. To earn a few extra bucks to attend seminars, purchase lighting and other equipment fueling my appetite, I would take portraits for my fellow parents. Even becoming the main professional portrait photographer for the cable company’s annual employee week for several years. After 25 years of both working in the field, later transitioning into the office, I was laid off in 2022. Being a parent, I took various jobs as an electrical tester, however the jobs never felt right, I always had this underlying thirst for photography. Struggling to make ends meet, following my passion for photography, I created a photo studio in my basement. Working with local models, our work was published in several small periodicals. Some of these images appear on the cover of these magazine. Native bands have invited me to capture images for their social and other media needs as well. My portraits and still work have also been displayed in numerous international galleries. Many of my family portraits, as well as other images adorn the walls of my home. I specialize in event and still photography. A snap shot can capture a mood; remind you of a tender moment or change your emotion. An image also has the power to compel you to act or influence a person’s perspective. The philosophical definition of ego is the complete person comprising both body and soul. My work is based on working relationship with my clients, my pricing includes all post shoot such unwanted object in the back ground, removal of blemishes, ect. at no addition csot

I prefer to work closely with all my customer to gain an understanding of what their expectations are

How did you get started doing this type of work?

The name Ego Boost comes from the the philosophy scholasticism definition of ego: the complete person comprising both body and soul. The small figurine & this ethos have come to symbolize my work. What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with wide virility of clients, ranging from family wanting portraits or to capture an event , to professionals wanting a an updates head shot

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

1) I recently did a shoot for group (5 people) for prom. There was two couple, & a mutual friend. Give the large number of pictures take, as well as the customizing to individual couple project took me approximately 30 hours. 2) Was a selected photographer for recent event held by Comcast in Hudson NH. Comcast had a week of employee development, & was offering head shot for those interested. I took & processed over two hundred (200) pictures for employees to be used on their professional profiles either in Lynked in or their Comcast profiles. The shoot lasted approximately six (6) hours, post processing doing touch ups an addition ten (10) hours

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I have two pieces of advice 1) Wear solid colors if possible, help bring out your features 2) Have an idea of the end result

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

One aspect of photography that is overlook is the post shoot work, cleaning up back grounds, blemishes, ect. Most other professionals charge for this. Any post processing is included in my price
