Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I am requesting an average market price for my services to grow my business and build a client base. However, at this price point, you will receive premium quality and the best service, as I have over 15 years of experience in this field in Europe

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Initially, I strive to identify the client’s needs and preferences, develop a shooting plan, and compile a list of necessary technical equipment. I always aim to deliver more than the client expects and within shorter timeframes than agreed upon

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am self-taught. Initially, I read several books on photography, started shooting by instinct, and learned from masters of the craft in Ukraine. I am always in pursuit of new ideas and refine my skills at every opportunity.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started photographing friends, then I landed a job at a large online publication as an events photographer, where I worked for 8 years. Meanwhile, I also captured weddings and family moments. Now, I am a full-time freelance photographer.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with a wide range of clients, averaging about 200 shoots per year. I serve to both private individuals and companies, assisting them in boosting sales and creating content. My regular clients are families who often seek my services from the early stages of their journey. I capture their moments from proposals and engagements to family portraits with children and other significant life events.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
The latest exciting project was a content shoot for a private clinic. We captured portraits of the doctors, their interactions with patients in a friendly atmosphere, and simultaneously conducted interior shots of the new medical office. I enjoy such projects as they allow me to apply all my skills and experiment with lighting.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The main advice is to seek quality of work rather than price! It's the biggest mistake anyone can make—opting to save money is natural and understandable. However, an experienced professional won't shoot at a rate three times below the market average, it's just not feasible! In most cases, people end up with a negative experience and subsequently hesitate to approach photographers. I'm here to deliver nothing but a positive experience! All my clients become my friends!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Above all, evaluate the photographer's work. Take a look at their website, and if you can associate your needs with the quality of their work, don't hesitate to reach out and communicate! A professional will always advise on how to better and more effectively organize the work process.
