What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
What do you need your photos for? An audition headshot has a different look than one for a professional application. Say you need a headshot for an audition, these typically are outdoor using all natural light. A headshot for a professional application such as applying for residency or law school should have a studio look with artificial lighting.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have 10+ years experience in the film and television industry working on all levels of production from documentary and reality TV to primetime television and blockbuster feature films. My undergraduate degree is a double major in film and digital media.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Photography has been a hobby of mine for years that turned into a form of income starting in 2013.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've been the staff photographer for Albuquerque's Musical Theatre Southwest, formerly Albuquerque Civil Light Opera Association, since 2013. Photography includes headshots, promotional, and archival for each of their shows in their annual seasons.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The two biggest things are quality and efficiency. We pride ourselves in our fast sessions and turn around. Especially if you are in need of a photo quickly, look for a photographer willing to deliver quality in a short timeframe. Some professionals don’t like to rush and can easily delay delivery simply based on that fact.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
There are the biggest questions photographers will ask when planning and confirming a photoshoot: 1. Do you have a specific location in mind for your photoshoot? 2. How many subjects do you want for your photoshoot? Quotes may vary if you would like to add/omit people from the session. 3. Do you have any special needs, concerns, or requests that are a must have for your photoshoot? -I prefer a female or male photographer, for example. I need make up or costume help, etc.
