Introduction

Photographing people is all about making people comfortable in front of the camera. I create a relaxed environment where you can be yourself and together we can make great memories. By planning ahead, there is never a need to rush this part of the day. For weekday and Sunday weddings, I also offer excellent discounts and I can do smaller, shorter weddings as well for those of you who only need 1-4 hours service. It's the time of year for senior portraits, so give me a call and tell me what you have in mind. I also do family portraits, newborns, commercial photography and shoots that are unconventional and interesting. I provide service to Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and the Finger Lakes region. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I meet with clients, discuss what type of photography they are looking, ask detailed questions and spend enough time with them so that we both feel comfortable working together.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been a photographer for 25 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

After I graduated from Boston University with a degree in life sciences, I took classes in photography and began shooting professionally a couple years later.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with a wide range of customers in portrait work and have shot weddings in all faiths: Christian, Hindu and Muslim. In commercial work, I have photographed airplanes, corporate events, conventions and some trade magazines.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I recently photographed a very cool airplane and enjoyed it because I fly.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would mostly look at their photographic work. References are good, but no one gives you references with dissatisfied clients.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Picture in your mind the type of photographs you want to have of your event, wedding or portrait, consider your budget range and most of all, ask if you are comfortable with the photographer you are most likely to choose. Of any one thing, most of my clients say they were most comfortable with my personality and style, price and photo quality being equal with others they meet with.
