I charge a travel fee of .75 per mile to and from the event. I charge $90 for the bride. $70 for attendants. Lashes are separate. I charge the bride’s wedding look on the day of her trial or during the virtual consultation. This is the deposit for her big day. All others can pay day of wedding. I charge the bride for any attendants that back out last minute as I need to secure the booking is inline with my business needs for travel. My minimum is 4 people.

I begin all my services with a good consultation. This includes the contract and wedding details. I collect all the contact details for the attendants and family getting services. I go over inspiration photos and scheduling the trial. During the trial I give more time for the details and take before and after photos of the service. I use these and notes on what was used. I followup for details on what she liked and would like to change. Then i contact and the attendants to get their services down. I get photos with out makeup and inspo pics. Get allergies. I contact everyone a week before the wedding to remind them of their scheduled times. Day of I bring everything or have everything needed for the bridal party.

I was trained on color matching years ago. I needed to understand color well. I have been doing makeup since 2006. In my salon I focused on how to solve discoloration, texture issues, acne skin to mature. I’ve taken many courses over the years and continue to enhance my library base of cosmetic knowledge.

I began in 2006 after I had spent 5 years helping women color match their makeup online. It was a natural step up from this when I opened up my cosmetic boutique. By 2012 when I built a salon onto my boutique, I was really geared to get into the bridal industry more. I have loved being apart of weddings since.

Mostly brides that have come to me. But now I am traveling. I’ve done makeup for young and the more mature.

Make sure you get pricing and a contract. I see more brides looking for last minute artists because the service providers they spoke with a year ago didn’t follow through on their agreement. Like any business, a service provider can go out of business for lack of business. Make sure you check for their history. Don’t assume you have booked anyone with just a text or email message. Get the contact. This usually means you need to put a deposit down that is non refundable.

Who will commit to services in the wedding party. What the budget is for makeup. Am I prepared to put a deposit down for the wedding services. Am I going to book a trial. Do I have my wedding parties phone numbers. Do I want the attendants to have the same look or not. Will I want lashes. What type of look do I want.
