Introduction

I love to give my clients images that go beyond expectations. To do this, I constantly push to out perform my portfolio. I try to incorporate art into every shoot I take on. I challenge myself to give each client a tailor made set of photos that are unique to their taste and situation.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing is somewhat negotiable. I put a lot into each shoot before I arrive and after I leave and this time is not reflected when I give an hourly rate. I am open to adjustments to make a budget work but I do not accept low ball pricing because I do not put low ball effort and quality into my shoots. I use nothing but the highest quality gear to deliver unique and personal photos to each client, and seeing the satisfaction of what I give them is the biggest pay off. I’m never the highest price but I do try and beat the higher price photographers quality.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I like to do a short call to discuss my process with each client. Once the call is done, if we both agree to move forward, I send a Docusign contract with a 50% non-refundable deposit due at signing. This locks the client in to the date and time slot. Until the deposit is paid, I can not guarantee the job. The final 50% is due on the day of the event or the client will not receive any photos until it is paid. I keep an open line of communication throughout the process and am available for any questions or concerns any time while leading up to the shoot or event

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I have been around photography my whole life. My father has been a photographer since before I was born, I grew up seeing the process and seeing what it takes to make a great photo.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with many clients from many cultures and backgrounds. I enjoy experiencing a variety of situations that I can try and master. Whether it’s a wedding with a mix of sceneries or a portrait shoot trying to capture a vibe, I love seeing the clients reaction when I show them what we’ve captured for them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
There are a couple components that make up a good photographer. Generally, a higher price indicates more experience and the equipment necessary to provide for the customer. Do not shy away from a higher price that is posted on here because some photographers are willing to make adjustments to fit a budget (shorten the shoot time, limit the amount of photos that get delivered, you meet them in their area, etc). A decent camera costs $3000+ and then you have to get lenses which run $1500+ per lens. Typically a photographer will have three lenses so you can see how much over head there is when dealing with a real photographer and that is just the components you see. There are many that add up just as much behind the scenes.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
How important are these photos to you? If they are worth hiring a photographer, make sure you hire someone that cares as much as you about getting the best shots to capture your memories. Price is always a concern but don’t let that be the only factor. This is why I like to talk to clients before money is requested or contracts are signed. I want to make sure all my clients get the highest value for what they’ve hired me to do.
