Introduction

I love to show people's beauty through photography. To bring their character and their essence out. Photography is the medium to do that and taking the time on a session to do it is very important to me. My priority is for my clients to feel comfortable and for them to get out of their session the photos they envision. I give each client the resources and information they need ahead of the session so that when we're doing the session we have fun and their photos come out the best they can! Photography has always been a love affair I can't live without. I've been doing photography for over 12 years, and I've done everything from weddings, engagements, family portraits, event coverage, showers, graduations, and senior photos. I love to share the way I see the world through my lens, and how amazing and magical life is. We're lucky to be in this journey together, and I can't wait to meet you and capture the most special moments for you.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My pricing depends on which service my customer is interested in, but rest assure that my prices are competitive, and accessible. I take my work very seriously, and the prices are just a reflection of the effort, time, and quality I put into each and every photo shoot. For example, If a customer is interested in having a couple's shoot, and a wedding, it becomes cheaper to book for the two because I can work a great deal for them.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
The first thing I do when working with a new client is to talk to them about the type of session they want and what their vision is, what are they trying to get out of the session. We go over the type of photoshoot they want, the style, the hours, pricing, and everything in between depending on the type of service they want.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a journalism and writing degree and I've covered numerous breaking news events, and been in the industry of photography for a long time. Even when I wasn't so active in my photo business, I was still doing photography for others, so it's been an on and off journey of over 12 years. I went full time as a wedding and portrait photographer 2 years ago and haven't looked back ever since. I'm passionate about what I do, and I love to show people's love and beauty through photography.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Back when I was in school I would get asked how much I would charge for a session. My very first client was a model wanting who was launching her swimwear and lingerie brand.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with a variety of customers, but mostly couples who are doing their engagement session and planning their wedding. Plenty of Families and newborn sessions, which we typically do at their homes. Plenty of seniors about to graduate, models, and a lot more to list.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
This past season I did a lot of engagements, and couple's shoots as well as weddings, even in the midst of the pandemic people have a desire to celebrate their love. I ADORE working with couples and helping them losen up in front of the camera so their connection, and intimacy comes out as natural as possible. I know being in front of the camera is intimidating, but part of my job is achieving those magical moments during our session that are candid and natural for amazing photos.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
The best advice I would give a customer looking to hire a professional photographer would be to look at their work, and reach out to them to get a feel of their personality and see if it's a good match with them. It's important for the customer to feel comfortable, and likes the photographer's attitude, style, and vision of what they can bring to their session. I highly advise the customer to have a list of the photos he or she envisions and ask the photographer if this is something he/she can do. I also would recommend to specify the hours, and or days you want the photographer to be present to capture those moments.  If it's a big event, such as a wedding, I would highly suggest the client to give the schedule of the event to the photographer so he/she can plan ahead. Also, a list of the people the couple want in specific photos with the them the day of.  Remember, this is the time to lay down all your expectations, and needs to the photographer before you make the final call on who to hire.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Usually photographers have a FAQs page in their website with what you might be wondering about, so make sure to check that out. 1. I highly recommend the customer to ask the photographer what are the best times of the day to take the photographs? This is a HUGE one for me. I usually schedule shoots based on lighting so it's very important to consider it. 2. Always ask how many hours are included in the price. Also, if there's an outfit change fee? 3. How many photos is the client going to receive? 4. Are the final photographs going to be edited?  5. Talk about money, contracts, and all that. What is the down-payment and what does that guarantee? 5. If it's an event, what areas areas that are a must to photograph? Ask for the photographer's input on this--they've done events like yours, so they probably have some good ideas.
