Introduction

Please note that my boudoir and couples' packages are $350, I'm not able to adjust the price on this app and therefore have prices starting at $250 until this problem is fixed by Thumbtack. I love to capture peoples' individuality and character and offer photography based on my 15 year as a professional and your personal taste. We cover weddings, engagements, high school seniors, babies, pregnancies, boudoir, corporate events and even commercial. Give us a call and describe to us what your needs are, we'd love to hear from you! I truly enjoy working with people and consider it a privilege when I'm able to witness and capture their most special moments. It is a big responsibility to capture these events and we do our utmost to guide you and put our clients at ease, so you may have a wonderful, easy going, worry free and fun experience.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I usually ask my potential clients what their requirements are, as all events are unique. However I do have packages available for clients to get a feel for my pricing.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I meet my customers in person or telephonically to discuss their requirements for their photo shoots, their clothing, the type of feel they want for their edited pictures. I'm also always available to help plan timeline or make suggestions for the events they would like me to capture. editing of images takes 1-2weeks, unless it's a wedding or large event, then usually 3 - 4 weeks will do.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a four year fashion design diploma and worked in the fashion industry for many years in South Africa. Here in the U.S I also worked in fashion and worked for two large photography companies, including one of the best boudoir studios in the industry. I have learned photography through my years in fashion, assisting with the work process in the office, attending many photography seminars and large conventions and decades of hands on experience. Photography is an ever changing and developing business which I love keeping up with technologically and artistically.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I studied art and fashion and I love people! Working in the fashion industry, I worked with models and other designers and prided myself in having an "eye" when designing clothes and doing fashion shows. Later on I worked with a photography company where I realised that this work was bringing together all the things that I love: people, fashion, art, technology and having creative freedom.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I've worked with all types of customers. Since I do many types of photography, I get to meet people from all walks of life. This is another reason why I'm so fond of what I do.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
Recently I had a boudoir photo shoot to do with very limited time and space. My clients' significant other was an hour away from coming to the house and they had just moved in, so the house was in shambles! I brought some backdrops and did the shoot in their bedroom. I was packed and ready to go by the time he came home. Most important of all was my clients husbands reaction when seeing the photographs....He was absolutely in love with them!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Hire a professional who asks questions and also has suggestions to make. You want a pro who listens to your requirements and also uses their expertise to come up with a result which truly describes what you are all about.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
All I need to know is how many people will be in the shoot, what is the occasion, if any and we can work out the rest
