What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
It all starts with a quick chat—just getting to know each other, hearing what you’re looking for, and finding the package that best fits your vibe, budget, and goals. I’ll ask about your personalities, preferences, and dream photos, and we’ll see if we’re a good fit! Once you’re ready to book, I’ll send over a contract and booking invoice (50% non refundable deposit due to secure your session; 35%non refundable deposfor weddings/events). You’ll also get a welcome guide packed with tips, FAQ, wardrobe help, and location ideas. Then comes the fun part—your session! Afterward, I deliver a soft-proofed gallery within 30–45 days (60-90 days for weddings/events). You’ll choose your favorite images, and I’ll go in and hand-edit them with care—removing blemishes, cleaning up backgrounds, and bringing them fully to life.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I’m self-taught with a whole lot of heart, but I’ve also invested in countless workshops, courses, and mentorships to keep my skills fresh and creative. Photography is always evolving, and I love staying up to date with editing trends and techniques—especially film-inspired looks.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve always loved photography, but it wasn’t until I had my kids—and lost my job during COVID—that I decided to go all in. I picked up my camera, started capturing the magic in the little moments, and realized how much joy it brings me (and others!). It stuck, and here we are. Giving people memories they can relive for years? That’s the dream.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
Honestly? All kinds—and I love it. From playful families to wildly-in-love couples, sleepy newborns to giggling seniors, and cozy home sessions to big wedding days—I’m here for it all. Every session is unique, creative, and full of energy, and that’s what makes this job so exciting.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite recent sessions was a surprise proposal. We created the perfect little environment and I got to capture all the raw, emotional magic of that moment. It was such a rush. From planning to final edits, the whole thing took about a month, but those photos? Pure forever material.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Photographers are artists. Our work is more than clicking a button—it’s about storytelling, style, and soul. Before booking, take the time to explore their portfolio and make sure the feel of their work matches your vision. I’m a candid, filmy, storytelling type. My style leans more muted, grainy, and nostalgic—like a movie scene. I don’t pose you stiff or expect everyone to be looking at the camera. I care about real emotion, real movement, and genuine connection. That’s not for everyone, and that’s okay! Just know what you want—and find the photographer who gives you that.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Definitely think about your budget, the style of photos you love (posed vs. candid), and how much direction you want during a shoot. Knowing what type of experience you’re looking for helps us both—and leads to photos you’ll treasure forever.
