What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

1.) Speak with the client and determine if we’re a fit. 2.) Assess their needs and budget expectations. 3.) If booked, collect a 50% down payment. 4.) Shoot on the scheduled photo or film day. 5.) Edit and Deliver.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Over ten years experience that the YouTube School of Free Lessons and more than that in hands on experience.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

In 2010, I was fresh out of Highschool and Instagram was hot. Know what wasn’t hot though? The camera on an iPhone 4. This coupled to my mom’s love for being the family photographer and me not being able to touch her camera as a kid, made it somewhat unavoidable.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

AJ Media was hired to produce a video for an Attorney from Atlanta for a Medical Mal-Practice Claim. The result of the narrative video for the victim was closing mediation after two years. It felt great knowing the victim was finally compensated a value that made sense, given the life long condition that was created for her in the wake of medical error.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone you genuinely enjoy working with. If you dislike something about your photographer or video producer, it’s almost guaranteed to show in the end result.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How much time will the shoot take? What is your realistic budget? Is there more than one location? Will you need to change outfits? How soon do you need the finished product back?
