Introduction

I’m so glad you found your way here. I’m Cait, a Houston-based photographer with a passion for capturing the special moments in life that make you smile. Whether it’s an engagement session, a wedding day, a surprise proposal, family portraits, senior photos, newborn photography or a quick mini session, I’m here to ensure that every moment is captured in a way that reflects who you are. A Little Bit About My Journey: I’ve been behind the camera since 2016, and let me tell you, it has been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and endless joy. I started with the basics, taking courses, reading everything I could get my hands on, and learning the technical side of things. But it didn’t stop there. I realized that true photography isn’t just about understanding your gear—it’s about understanding people, emotions, and stories. So, I took a different approach—self-teaching. I experimented, practiced on friends, and even made a few mistakes along the way. But each moment helped me grow. Through these years, I’ve developed a keen eye for capturing the essence of my clients, telling their unique stories, and creating work that’s not just beautiful, but authentic. The Importance of Capturing Your Moments: Photography is about more than just taking pretty pictures—it's about freezing time and preserving memories that will last a lifetime. Every time I pick up my camera, I get the opportunity to tell a story, whether it's the excitement of an engagement, the overwhelming joy of a wedding day, or the pure fun of a family portrait session. It brings me so much joy to know that the images I capture will be cherished for years, passed down to future generations, and looked at with the same love and joy for decades to come. I’m not just interested in snapping a good picture. I’m interested in creating something meaningful, something that speaks to who you are. I’ve had clients who were nervous about being in front of the camera, and I love seeing their faces light up when they realize that the session isn’t about stiff poses or awkward smiles—it’s about having fun, connecting with each other, and simply being yourselves.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
I like to keep my pricing transparent and flexible to fit different needs. Every wedding or family session is unique, so I’ve created packages to reflect that. If you’re unsure which option works best, I’m happy to guide you through it. No surprises, no hidden fees—just an honest breakdown of what you can expect.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
When we first connect, I want to hear all about you—your story, your plans, and what you’re dreaming of for your photos. Once I understand what’s most important to you, I’ll help you choose a package that fits. We’ll lock in the details, and as your day approaches, I’ll check in to make sure everything’s on track. My goal is to keep the process easy and stress-free, so you can focus on enjoying the moments.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
In college, I majored in Journalism and took photography and design courses that taught me the fundamentals of storytelling through images. That foundation, combined with years of hands-on experience, has shaped the way I document my clients.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Photography started as something I did for my family—capturing birthdays, milestones, and just little everyday moments. Eventually, I realized how much I loved documenting these memories and wanted to do the same for other people.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with all kinds of clients—from those hosting intimate backyard ceremonies to others planning grand ballroom celebrations, from family sessions to senior portraits and most often surprise proposals and engagement sessions. Every client is unique, and I love adapting to different styles, personalities, and traditions.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
One of my favorite weddings recently was a 10-hour celebration north of Houston. The day was packed with special moments, from the bride’s quiet morning getting ready to a lively dance party that went well into the night. It was such a fun mix of emotional and candid moments, and being there to capture it all felt like such an honor.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
It’s important to make sure that the photographers style is what you are looking for. Compare their past work with your inspiration to make sure it’s a good match!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Find a photographer whose style makes you feel something. Look through their portfolio and see if you can imagine your own story told in those images. It’s also so important to connect with them personally—your photographer will be by your side, so you want someone who feels like the right fit for you.
