Introduction

Hi, I have over 25 years experience as a professional photographer to help make your session both fun and relaxed. I have a fully outfitted studio in Grapevine with unique backdrops/props/sets as well as an outdoor portrait garden with a popular wall of stacked stone and also do location work. Also, I'm a Top Pro here on Thumbtack with lots of positive 5 star reviews and believe in quality over quantity, along with excellent customer service. Studio sessions start at $75 for my time to create/edit your session images and do NOT include any images or products. Location sessions are $195 and also do NOT include any images or products. Instead of confusing minimum orders or packages that force you to get products you may not want I simply have an easy to understand ala carte menu where you can get exactly what you do want. I offer high quality custom retouched digital files at $45 each, gift prints, beautiful artistic canvas gallery wrap prints, custom books, announcement/holiday cards, creative Photoshop composites like you see in movie posters, advertising layouts, etc. Any print ordered includes a web sized JPEG of that same retouched image for use on your social media. Please contact me for complete pricing information and a complimentary design consultation so we can also chat about details like wardrobe, backdrops, hair/makeup, etc. to help make sure that you look your very best. I have always loved photography and can still remember the excitement of watching for the first time as my images magically appeared in the developing tray. From there on I was hooked. Of course those darkroom days of film have been replaced with digital, which opens up even more possibilities that are limited only by our imaginations. I am continuously fascinated with the idea that we can freeze a moment in time and capture it's essence forever. Let's explore this incredible world of photography together and see what we can create.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I offer free design consultations either on the phone or at my Grapevine studio.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am mostly self taught in photography, other than some high school and college classes. I also am constantly taking online courses and love learning.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I first got started in photography way back in junior high school by developing my own film and creating prints in my bathroom darkroom with a towel under the door to block out any stray light.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with all types of clients including commercial jobs, families, high school seniors, kids, couples, models/actors, musicians, products, headshots including business re-branding, etc.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Look for quality over quantity.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Where will the images be used and for how long? Most of my business headshot clients use the images online for several years so it is important to get everything looking great. The general public is very image savvy these days and can easily recognize a professional photo from a lesser quality one, which of course reflects heavily upon your online presence. It is also good to know what your budget is so we can realistically try to stay within it.
