Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
All photography jobs start at 195. This includes 2 images with a basic edit. A basic includes color correction, skin softening and cropping and taming of hair as needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
A discussion as to expectations for a desired result can take place over the phone. This would be followed up with an email verifying the type of photoshoot requested. Through an in-person meeting or through zoom you will have the opportunity to view your images and choose the two you most desire. Images will be available for viewing in 2-5 days. Finished images will be available for download in 2-5 days.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I am a Graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and have been in business in the Temple/Belton are for approximately 20 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
Upon completing my formal photographic education, I immediately went into business photographing pets in a privately owned pet Grooming Shop. After approximately one year I began photographing pets for Petco Company. For several years my focus was then turned to people. I love doing business, children and family portraits.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have done portraits for many different individuals, including company owners and managers. I have photographed their customers as well as friends and a variety of individuals who have contacted me through my website and through thumbtack. Companies I have done work for include McLane and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
This past August 2023, I had the privilege of doing headshot portraits for the Human Resources Department of McLane Company. To do this, I travelled to the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas where McLane Company was holding their annual meeting. In addition to taking headshot portraits, I took 3 large group portraits of various departments within the Company.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
I would advise they check out the photographer's work to see if it lines up with their personal taste. Also, if there is something they desire but don't see, just ask, since a photographer may enjoy a certain type of style but because there is not much demand for it they don't feature that style in their portfolio.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Customers can give prior thought to the questions a headshot/business photographer would ask of them, such as, what would they like the images for? How will the images be used? Are you open to new ideas? What should you wear? What thought should you give to hair and makeup? Would you like a close up portrait or 3/4 pose? Your photographer will then help to answer these questions. It just helps to give thought to these ahead of time.
