unfold fold
I offer three fully customizable wedding packages. A 40% deposit and a signed wedding contract is needed to save your wedding date. All other session fees are due on the date of your scheduled session. I charge $0.50 per mile for travel outside of Idaho Falls.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
1. Set a date. 2. Meet for a wedding consultation (optional but recommended.) 3. Sign contract and pay deposit. 4. Fill out some questionnaires for your wedding day. 5. Touch base before the wedding and/or take engagements and bridals. 6. Photograph your wedding. 7. Deliver your images to you. 8. You select images for me to edit. 9. I edit your images. 10. I deliver your wedding album and other products to you with a print release.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I studied studio art for two years in college, my emphasis was in illustration. My photography skills are self taught. I try to attend photography workshops, study my favorite artists' work and learn new Photoshop techniques. Practice is the best training!

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was already an artist when I picked up my first DSLR camera. I was studying illustration and I loved it. But I was also interested in expanding my talents and trying something new. So I started out photographing friends and family members, studying, and practicing a lot. Before I knew it, people started to really like my work. So in 2010 I started my business and I've loved everything I've learned along the way.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I work with customers of all ages and backgrounds.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
I shot an eight hour wedding back in September 2017 that totally took my breath away. The lighting was just right and the couple were so amazing to photograph. Everything flowed so naturally and I was in my element, loving every minute.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
First, hire a professional. Someone who is organized, responds to your emails quickly and explains things to you. Look for consistency in their work and a portfolio that matches the style you’re looking for for your wedding or session. Ask a lot of questions! You also want someone who you feel comfortable with. If you feel comfortable with your photographer, your photos will be seem natural and you will look happier and more relaxed.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Think about your photography style. Think about what you want your wedding album to look like in 25 years and 50 years from now. Think about what you want to be able to look back on and remember the most. Get ideas from Pinterest and make a pin board.
