My love for photography started with Polaroids and throwaway cameras—just a kid chasing light and laughter, snapping goofy outtakes of myself, family and friends. I didn’t know it then, but I was quietly collecting the magic in all the ordinary moments. In 2009, I picked up my first “big girl” camera to freeze time with my own kids, and honestly? I’ve been chasing those beautiful little in-betweens ever since. Fast forward and I’m still obsessed with the preservation of fleeting, mundane moments. I’m here to document your life, not stage it. Whether it’s the quiet in-between glances of your wedding day, the spontaneous laughter (or meltdowns) of a family session, or the everyday beauty of your lifestyle moments, my aim is simple: to tell your story honestly. My style is deeply photojournalistic, rooted in a love for the beauty that exists in the real and the unrehearsed. I believe the most powerful images are the ones that aren't posed—they're felt. I chase emotion, not perfection. I look for the subtle, fleeting moments: the nervous breath before “I do,” the tear that escapes during a toast, the wind catching a child’s hair mid-giggle. I lean into natural light, honest composition, and the beauty of imperfection. Every frame is crafted to feel raw, timeless, and completely you.

Q&A

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When possible, I highly recommend a meeting as an introduction, whether it be over facetime, zoom, or in person. During this time we will discuss the details of your day and also go over budget and collection information. Once your day is fully discussed and an agreement is made, a retainer fee of 50% of the total balance is requested to reserve your date. Contracts will then be sent electronically to be signed. One month prior to your wedding date we will ask to start solidifying your wedding day schedule. This is typically done through email, but a meeting can also be setup if preferred. Easy peasy.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a formally trained dancer, and current lover of movement in all forms, I find peace in motion. Whether capturing movement through children, families at play, or the excitement of a wedding day, these are the moments that spark my creativity and define my photographic style. I strive to capture the most important moments while remaining unseen, like a ninja, which keeps the images honest and the emotions real.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started out simply wanting to get better shots of my children. It became a passion, then an obsession, and shortly after, my career.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've had the opportunity to work with some pretty amazing people over the years. From photographing intimate backyard weddings to high end soirees, I love the diversity within our industry and strive to accommodate clients with varying needs/budgets.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's essential that you trust the people that you are hiring, both artistically and professionally. Your wedding photographers will be with you every moment on your special day, so be sure that you feel 100% comfortable around them. Ask lots of questions!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

Consider how much coverage you think you will need from start to finish. Also consider whether having a professionally printed album is something that is important to you. Think about the photographs that will matter most to you when your wedding has come and gone. Ask your photographer for a list of shots they generally strive to get, then add to the shot list, making sure that the photographer is aware of anything essential that you would like captured. Ask your photographer how they handle various lighting situations, crazy family members, and schedules that go awry to ensure that you trust your photographer completely.
