Graceful Perceptions

Hi, I am Grace! I am a Charlottesville native with a passion for capturing life’s precious moments. I picked up the camera roughly five years ago, and have been following my dreams of becoming a full-time portrait photographer ever since.
I was born with Mild Cerebral Palsy, so I know what it is like to have challenges. I fell in love with photography because it allows me to express who I am fully, overcoming those physical challenges. Behind the lens, I truly feel free. I’m able to capture the beauty I see within us as human beings. I truly get to connect with everyone I work with, and there is not a more rewarding feeling than that.
From a young age, I have always loved connecting and building relationships with others. As someone who has struggled with my own insecurities, I strive to use my passion to help others feel and value their true natural beauty. I aim to do this by making my clients feel comfortable and valued through our time working together.
If you'd like to inquire about a session, please consider emailing me first instead of matching the lead, as thumbtack does charge for each one! Thank you! 😊

I have my own aesthetic when it comes to portrait photography. Rather than taking generic photos that everyone expects, I aim to collaborate closely with my clients and co-create moments that feel personal and meaningful.
I have experience shooting a wide range of sessions, including wedding coverage, solo portraits, couple and best friend shoots, and graduation photos. My style is emotionally expressive yet timeless. I shoot with Fujifilm cameras, known for their unique film-like color profiles that elevate every image with a cinematic feel.
If you’re looking for a photographer who values connection and creativity as much as composition, I’d love to work with you.
