Introduction

My artful approach to photography both flatters you and helps tell your story. Whether you're planning a wedding, want to capture memories of a growing family or just need some headshots, my priority is ensuring you have a great experience and love your images! I've photographed weddings in five U.S. states and Washington D.C., and how I approach wedding day photography depends on the moment and your preference. Wedding days are joyful celebrations. As your lasting keepsake of the day, each photograph should be styled accordingly. Are you looking for a wedding photographer to help ensure you'll have classic images from your special day? I offer complimentary consultations so we can get to know each other and I can show you what a wedding experience with me looks like!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
Current pricing begins at $200 for a portrait or headshot session with a single person. Couple and group sessions begin at $350. Wedding and event coverage begins at $300 an hour. I do offer weekday (Monday through Thursday) specials! Editing is included in all pricing. I do travel, but may charge a rate of $.50/mile for all sessions and events more than 50 miles from zip code 22314 (negotiable for events and weddings). Inquire about discounts for military, emergency responders and teachers!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I've taken a photography shooting and editing course, a posing course, and participated in a weeklong intensive photography workshop. While I do portrait and event photography as a freelancer, I work in public relations as my 9-to-5, and provide photography services for all of our organization's events, and professional headshots for all of our staff and leadership.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Find someone who feels like a friend so that you're as comfortable as possible during your session or event.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

How many images are you expecting from your session or event? Does the photographer charge extra for editing time? How would the photographer describe his or her style? What do I (the client) need to do so that I'm prepared for my session?
