Introduction

I'm Jason J Kim, a Snohomish based portrait photographer covering Seattle Metropolitan area. My passion in photography is to capture the precious moments of one's life in photos to cherish forever. I started photography as a hobby, which quickly turned into a passion. I love capturing images of nature, landscape as well as people. My shooting style is based on fine art photography with fashionably inspired, modern concepts and fun in mind. My source of inspiration is my subjects. This means I will pay a great attention to your needs or wishes in creating images you will be happy with. I believe the essence of portrait photography is to capture images that display the likeness, personality, and even mood of the person.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have different packages that will fit needs of many individuals or groups. I do offer discounts based on projects. Please ask.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I think communication is the key. I will be very prompt to come up with the shot list, which will be tailored to the client's specific needs. I use mainly email or thumbtack message but will be available by phone.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am self-taught in photography and photoshop. I continue to update myself in training different techniques in photography, especially in lighting and photoshop.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started photography as a hobby, which quickly turned into a passion. I love capturing images of people.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I specialized not only in portrait photography, from senior/prom/graduation to family/engagement/couple but also in events for individuals or corporates.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I was hired by a company to capture the real life of their employees interacting with customers and inside/outside of building. It took about 3 hours. Not only the owner but also employee have expressed pleasant experience along appreciation for excellent pictures that came out of the session.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would have to say you want to know as much as possible about what you want done.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

1. A specific date and time or flexible but with a preference: Weekdays vs Weekend 2. A Location or a preference of location: Urban vs nature 3. A budget or range, which will determine what package will work best
