What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I've priced my photo packages to be affordable to the average family. I believe that everyone deserves quality images to hang on their walls, and that personal moments should be preserved for everyone with care and passion. So my pricing reflects that. Email or message me for information about combining packages, or large group package pricing.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically will email or message back and forth with the client, to get a feel for what they want. Once we meet for the photo session, the first few moments of interaction are all about establishing a relationship and getting to understand the vision the client has for the photoshoot. After that, we can continue to talk and work together as I shoot the client, and I always take the client's suggestions and requests very seriously.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have about a decade of photography practice under my belt. Aside from basic classes at high school and college, I have no formal training, though I am always joining workshops and looking for collaborations and mentorships to help me gain expertise in the field.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I began by photographing my own children. I realized I have a passion for documenting those special moments we don't want to forget.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All types! I've done newborn, family, sibling, milestone, engagement, senior picture, and headshot photography. I'm always looking for ways to branch out and broaden my scope!

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I just finished an engagement shoot that I'm particularly proud of. The couple was lovely to work with and I had a fun time during the shoot. The photos turned out so nice, I'm excited to share them on all my social media! The session took about an hour and 1/2 to complete and the couple ended up with about 100 photo edits to choose from, plus an online album to look through as well. I am hoping to be able to photograph their wedding later on as well.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure you look through their portfolio and that you love their style of composition and editing.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What type of photography are you looking for? Do you like a certain style? Does this photographer provide the style you're looking for? How much are you willing to spend? How many people will be included in the photoshoot? Do you have a favorite spot in mind for your photo session? Do you want to include props? Is there a website or other place you can be directed to in order to view the professionals' prior work?
