What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is an approximation through Thumbtack. I like to discuss what my potential client expects from me which may even require bringing in additional staff to complete their require project which is an additional fee. I do offer discounts to repeat customers based upon how many times I am have the opportunity to work with my client and the project itself. Once the project has been decided up and accepted verbally or by email, I will provide my customer with a contract of as close in-line as what was discussed. Once signed and payment received, the work begins. My hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. I will work before and after, Holidays and Weekends, limited hours, provided I have been given the proper notification and also my fee increases to an additional $5.00 an hour for those "off hours".

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My approach to a new customer that is asking for Office/Personal Assistance or Sewing is get a possible understanding of the end result of the job. If my new client is looking for Home Cleaning, Senior/Baby Sitting, we would first discuss allergies any other important thoughts also if they are planning to have visitors or repair individuals to come to the home while I am there. Security is important.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a BS degree. My office training is from working in Corporate America and I have a DBE for Convention and Trade Show Organizers and my sewing is from my mother and sewing courses. My house cleaning is from understanding clean.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

I actually started out teaching Sewing when I was layed-off from my Corporate job. After going through family illnesses and looking into the future, I realized that there are several families and individuals that are looking for an individual that has trust, personality and can handle most of their affairs. Well here I am!

What types of customers have you worked with?

I have worked with Girl Scout Troops, organizations and sewing and individual clients with organization, office assistance, personal assistance and home cleaning.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My customers are important. I take pride in my work in providing great workmanship! If I am hired for Sewing Lessons, visual, on-hands is very important an option I would prefer.
