Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
40 per hour

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
Figuring out what their comfort level is on guitar if any. And of course beginning guitarists are always welcome.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
Years of training at Villa Musica with Dr. Jude Wermier as well regular live performances with many other respected bands. I also attended Full Sail University for a degree in Audio Production which is a big part of how I teach today.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I was originally self taught before taking guitar lessons for 6 years with Jude Wermeir at Villa Musica. That led me to starting up numerous bands to be able to perform live regularly. My practice routines along with live performances has been what’s helped me to form and shape my own voice on guitar over the years. I have also attended Full Sail University for audio production which is a big part of my angle to teaching today.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All ages are welcome. Some of my students use Skype or FaceTime as well which has proven to be a great option.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

unfold fold
MadChair is now offering recording options for students for the same flat fee, whether it be recording an original song that they bring in, a song we come up with track by track on the spot, or a room mic jam. This has been really helpful for each student and extremely satisfying to be apart of and is also very helpful in their training because they can also practice to it once they get home.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Just to find an option that is best for them. There are many guitar instructors out there, just make sure you like the way they teach and you're happy with what you're gettin' at the end of the day.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
What type of music they want to learn to play, and if they are interested in learning theory (the building blocks of music, learning standard notation, and how it all fits together).
