Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
I would schedule a trial lesson to see whether the student and I are a good match. We would talk about goals and expectations. I’ve worked with many different students before, so during the trial lesson, I could give precise insights immediately on how I could help.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have plenty of experience in performing publicly, and I have a master’s degree in Piano Performance from one of the world’s leading music colleges so I am qualified to teach advanced students. I also have 10 years of teaching experience and have actually started my career teaching beginners and kids. I consider myself to be very versatile and flexible with what my students require.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I’ve had some wonderful mentors since I was a child, and I always knew that one day I would be just like them. I eventually started when I was a master’s student in London and have been loving it since.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I’ve worked with students from 3 to 70+ years old and of all levels. Around 50% of my students prefer a more systematic training for short term goals like exams and competitions, whereas the other 50% is learning for enjoyment.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Make sure that you/your kids enjoy spending time with your teacher and feel that lessons are interesting.
