Introduction

Located in South Denver near the University of Denver, the Bozovich Music Studio offers Private Lessons in Piano to students of all ages. The setting is a lovely home where lessons and recitals are given on a beautiful Grotrian Grand Piano. Private cello lessons are also available to students of all ages. Carey Bozovich believes that every student benefits from the creativity and discipline of learning a musical instrument, regardless of ability. Lessons are individualized to the interests of the student. I love sharing the joy of making beautiful music with my students.

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My flat rate is $55 per hour.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
We have a conversation on the phone to discuss musical background, what instrument they have to practice on, why they want to study a musical instrument including their long term goals, their availability for lessons, how long and how frequently they will take a lesson, etc.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and Music Education and a Master's degree in Music History with a cello minor. I have taught both piano and cello lessons for many years. I also directed choir, orchestra and other ensembles while serving as a minister of music at a church for 25 years.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
I started teaching when I completed my education. While I stepped away from teaching for several years and then returned to it, I have always been involved in music training through my work as a church musician.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
All ages but primarily school age kids. Students are both new beginners and transfer students from other teachers. I always have adult students in my studio and particularly like reacquainting adults with their passion for music.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

unfold fold
Find a teacher who has experience and a good reputation. Most of all find a teacher who loves teaching and sharing the joy of music!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Are you prepared to be committed to a weekly lesson and to practicing 4-5 days per week. Students who practice consistently make steady progress and feel encouraged to continue lessons.
