Introduction

I am a degreed, recorded and produced musician. I have been with Thumbtack for nearly 20 years. I teach classical, jazz, and contemporary music. I also teach improvisation and composition. Each student is assessed at their skill level from beginner to advanced and modeled into the pianist or composer they wish to become. My system allows each student to grow in learning while enriching the freedom to express creativity.

Below is important information on my location, schedule and more. Home studio Location 6290 lemonwood drive 80918 I teach the following; - [x] 1. Classical music and theory (Beginner to Advanced) - [x] 2. Jazz music and theory (Beginner to Intermediate) - [x] 3. Contemporary music from cinema and pop culture (Beginner to Advanced) Lessons are paid in full via Check, Cash, or Credit/debit card (Via Square App) at the Beginning of every month. Piano lessons - $50/hr, $40/45min 30 half hr. Discount for seniors and vets Digital Composition Lessons on Soundtrap digital composition platform - $50/hr $45 Discount applies to military and seniors. Student materials to bring to every lesson 1. The Source book of contemporary scales by Steve Barta (1st or 2nd edition will do) 2. A blank staff sheet music notebook to track students progress 3. Music theory packet(s) provided by teacher for new students) 4. Any assigned music or music student desires to learn to play. Please let me know what time works for you best to meet.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a four year music degree from Adams State University, I have been teaching privately for four years and have self published music for three years Where the Independent music industry is concerned yes. It is constantly changing. Thanks to technology it is easier to make a mark on the world. Piano Students who want to go above a basic understanding of the music I teach can be lead into deeper concepts to prepare for honors, IB, and college.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

A couple who run ministry in Iowa contacted me while on vacation and asked me to do a music score for a film they were putting together. It was my first commission to score an opening theme. I was overjoyed. :D. It took 2 days to complete.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Don't expect a free lunch or a free consultation. Time is money.

Its a challenging field, but it always yields its rewards. The question customers should ask is, "Am I or my child serious about committing the time and financial investment in music? "
