Introduction

Hi, my name is Julianne. I am so excited to be working with you, and I congratulate you on your first steps to becoming a music student! I have my degree in Fine Arts in Music, and I have been performing since I was 5 years old. I teach all level voice lessons and beginner-intermediate piano lessons. I offer virtual lessons, lessons in your home, or lessons in my home studio! I offer 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour weekly lessons for the same rate each month that never changes. I also offer toddler group music lessons and music theory lessons. I cater my teaching style to your needs and preferences! I will look forward to chatting through options with you and getting to know you. Reach out with your interests and questions, and again enjoy taking your first steps to become one of my music students!

Q&A

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

unfold fold
My standard pricing is typically $30 per half hour per student if the student can travel to my in home studio and $35 per half hour per student if I travel to them. If I am teaching the same lessons to more than one student in a group per hour, I then charge $10 per half hour per student.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

unfold fold
My typical process for working with a new student is to initially found out what genres of music I will be working on with them. Next, I ask whether they like to sit still, upright, and focused the whole time just doing worksheets and things of that nature, or if they like corporating a little fun in the learning process. Once that has been figured out, I ask if they like to receive homework due by the next lesson or not, or if they just want to only work on assignments while I am there to help. Then, I ask what level is needed and whether they will have an individual lesson plan for me each week, if I should plan on bringing my own all of the time, or if it will vary. From there, I meet with them to answer any additional questions they may have, and then begin!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

unfold fold
I have an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts and have completed around 80 college credits. I took many courses relating to the subjects I go over with students. I also was a substitute teacher for grades K-5, and I am currently a self-employed voice and piano lesson instructor and singer who has had experience doing music camps and teaching various students over the years. Additionally, I have taught religious education classes at my church.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

unfold fold
My cousin had a friend who wanted a voice teacher for her son, so my cousin recommended me since I have been performing and teaching for the majority of my life, and I got the position, realized teaching is what I am not only meant to do, but what I love to do, and I have since then decided to broaden my experience and business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

unfold fold
I have worked with children as young as 5 years old until adults who are in their 50s. I would like to broaden my horizons to be able to work with people of all ages beginning at age 3 into senior education.
