A lot. LOL First, a BA in Performance from UMASS Amherst, then a lifetime of experience as a performer, both vocalist and pianist, and coach! Also, a longtime Music Minister in a rousing Gospel style setting. Many years at this, teaching all style, from jazz and rock to opera. (11 languages)

unfold fold
Make sure the teacher has experience in many aspects of studying the instrument or voice. Make sure you're not just signing up for "keyboard lessons." Make sure the teacher knows how to protect your singing voice, and is kind and understanding! Singing is a pretty exotic effort, isn't it!

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

unfold fold
Be open-minded, have a few goals, and come with joy, be patient with yourself, and think of what you love about music and your instrument!
