What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Even though we list a per lesson price here on Thumbtack, our tuition is actually charged monthly. You'll pay the same flat rate monthly tuition and have a lesson once each week.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We learn everything we can about our music student's interest and abilities. From there, we get started teaching and the new student will be playing music in no time.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

All of our teachers are degreed and professional musicians who have experience working with students of all ages, levels and abilities.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Like most musicians many of us start out trying to "hit it big" in music. Then, we find teaching and LOVE IT. It's amazing to be able to share our passion with people who want to learn how to play.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We've been a school of music since 1997, we're new here in the KC area as of 2025. We can easily say that we've worked with every kind of student you can think of. From 4 year old beginners, the 17 year olds who've played their whole lives and now want to audition for college, and adult students who've always dreamed of playing an instrument and didn't know it could be so easy to learn.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We teach most of our private music students for years, we're proud of each and every one.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure your teacher has a plan for how to teach you. Our staff of music teachers does.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What day and time works best in their schedules for a consistent weekly lesson.
