Hi, my name is Julianne. I am so excited to be working with you, and I congratulate you on your first steps to becoming a music student! I have my degree in Fine Arts in Music, and I have been performing since I was 5 years old. I teach all level voice lessons and beginner-intermediate piano lessons. I offer virtual lessons, lessons in your home, or lessons in my home studio! I offer 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour weekly lessons for the same rate each month that never changes. I also offer toddler group music lessons and music theory lessons. I cater my teaching style to your needs and preferences! But what's more important is that I do what most tutors don't! I connect with my students, inspiring them to take ownership of their own learning. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy playing piano and watching anime! I worked at a center for traumatic brain injury kids for 7 years where I've encountered and overcame all sorts of barriers to learning. There I learned to think creatively outside the box in teaching and building understanding. As a substitute teacher; I've tutored groups of students to pass their NY ELA state test exam as well as other exam preparation. My favorite part of tutoring is when one of my students finally gains confidence in a previously frustrating concept. I show them that there is always a way! As a tutor, I also have extensive experience in math, ELA, science, and test prep such as SAT/ACT, SHSAT, ISEE, and others. I can provide testimonials where I helped to drastically increase test scores for many of my clients. At Creative Mind Society, once it's fun, it is not difficult! I'm also a classical pianist and have performed at several recitals. I do offer piano lessons as well as chess tutoring!

Teaching all ages voice and piano for years, am also a performer with 2 groups, have a BA in Performance. Teach beginners to professionals, all styles, from Gospel, R&B, Music Theater, Jazz, Pop, to Classical Art Song, and Opera. Teach in many languages, if that's your thing, have a very large music library here in studio. I can get you there! And prepare you for any special performance, audition, and goal.
